Bedlam

Author:Michael Zey
Genres:Humor
Slice of life
Released:1997
Review:

You're a middle-aged guy with a beer gut whose biggest ambition in life is to get to the bar and watch some sports. Implementation is not extensive. Game text contains a fair number of typos, missing spaces, incorrect articles ("a oven mitts"), etc. The lack of polish overall is fairly understandable given that the game's ending message says that this is meant to be part of an eventual longer work, and that it hasn't been finished yet. Puzzles are sometimes a bit tricky, and give misleading responses to partial solutions: for instance, hitting something gives you a "Violence isn't the answer..." response, but hitting the thing WITH another object proves successful.
